Does your fireplace smell bad? The smell is due to creosote deposits in the chimney, a natural byproduct of woodburning. The odor is usually worse in the summer when the humidity is high and the air conditioner is turned on. A good sweeping will help. http://www.shoplondon.ca/totalchimneycare/contact

Does your heating system vent through a masonry (brick or stone and mortar) chimney? Your heating system will not operate safely if the chimney becomes blocked. We recommend that you have an approved metal liner installed if your masonry chimney does not have one.
