The procedure is basically non-invasive, there is little to no discomfort to the patient. All that is required is a small drop of blood from a finger prick; one drop of the patient's blood is used for two slides. The slides are placed under the darkfield microscopy for the patient to see as the blood is viewed; one is for live blood and the second is for dry blood cell analysis. Patients actually witness the procedure and the therapist explains what is seen under the microscope. The patient will be able to see everything on a separate screen.
