Moving is one of the highest causes of stress you can have.

But if you have to do it, let's do it right!

Here are some moving tips to keep you on track and HEY!!!

 Moving Tips:

1. Start NOW - Don't go into this move thinking you've got all the time in the world. 30-60 days will fly by and then you'll be scrambling. Get a list, start to write down things that NEED to be done before packing. ( our suggestion - purge)
2. Call in the big guns. Figure out the actual day of the move. Trucks, friends, moving companies etc. You're going to have to get this into their calendars now!
3. When booking a moving company make sure they know about all the 'BIG" stuff. Pianos, king size beds or pool tables.
4. If you've got friends and family helping with the packing - arm them with a Roll of tape/magic marker/packing paper then make sure they write on the box what room they are packing and what's inside! This will help on the other end of the move.
5. Label all sides of the box including the top. You can't believe the number of times you'll be looking for something and can only see one side of a box ( the side that no one wrote on)
6. Protect your valuables. They are important to you so why don't you take the time to pack and label this box.
7. Pack your suitcase like your leaving for a week. That way you're not rushing around the day after your move looking for clean underwear!
8. Be ready for your movers. Whether they are paid or friends and family. They are there to help you so respect their time.
9. Find a pet sitter for the day. Moving day is NOT the day to loose the cat!
10. Make nice with your new neighbours. It will go along way. Let them know what day you'll be arriving and if there might be some congestion on the street.
